Moldovan PM meets leadership of Foreign Investors Association

Prime Minister Pavel Filip held a meeting with the leadership of the Foreign Investors Association in Moldova (FIA): new Chairman of FIA Board of Directors, Alexander Koss and former leader of the Association, Ridha Teka, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported. 

During the meeting, there were discussed the Foreign Investors Association’s projects for 2017, including activities of FIA as head of the working group on stimulating and maintenance of private investments within the Economic Council under the Prime Minister.

Pavel Filip mentioned the interest of the Government to attract foreign investments in Moldova's economy and reiterated the Government's openness to constructive and open dialogue with businessmen. The prime minister urged business representatives to work together with government in the development and promotion of favorable policies to business development, including the Economic Council under the Prime Minister. "Economic Council is a discussion platform where issues are dealt facing businesses, but also found solutions to overcome them," said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At their turn, representatives of the Association of Foreign Investors said they felt changes for the better that occurred in the business environment as a result of Government decisions regarding the moratorium on state control, reduction of entities with control and improvement of business environment.

FIA is a non – profit association of foreign investors and aims to contribute, together with public authorities, to providing of a more favorable investment environment of foreign direct investments, through an open dialogue between different interested sides.
