Moldovan government earmarked 10 million lei to public policy expertise, evaluation

Policies promoted by the government will be examined by civil society. For this, the cabinet of ministers allocated 10 million lei yesterday. Money will be used to assess and monitor public policy documents drafted by ministries and state institutions, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

“We have said earlier this year that the government will also have the financial means to provide NGOs, the civil society for expertise and policy monitoring the government is doing. Now we have identified this opportunity to grant 10 million lei to the State Chancellery, which will deal directly with it," Prime Minister Pavel Filip said. The premier said that financial resources will be identified and allocated for this purpose in the future.

The procurement mechanism for public policy expertise is to be drafted by the State Chancellery.
