The implementation of the Association Agreement Moldova – European Union and priority reforms agenda were the main themes discussed at today meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip with Head of EU Delegation in Chisinau, Pirkka Tapiola.
During the dialogue, the premier reiterated the firm determination of the Cabinet to continue the reforms and Moldova's European vector. "We follow the European way because we want to offer citizens a quality of life similar to that of EU countries," said Pavel Filip.
Similarly, the prime minister spoke on the Executive's priorities for the forthcoming period, noting that the reform agenda for 2017 – 2018 would be discussed in a joint meeting with the Parliament. "We must focus on consolidation of institutions and to think about salaries in the public system," said the head of the Cabinet.
At his turn, Pirkka Tapiola congratulated the Moldovan official on the occasion of a year of investiture of the Government and encouraged the Cabinet of Ministers to continue efforts to ensure stability in society. "Thinking where I was a year ago, I can say definitely that the glass is half full. It was worked hard within this time," said head of EU Delegation in Chisinau.
During the meeting, the officials also made an exchange of views on the Transnistrian conflict settlement. The prime minister said that groups of experts have worked to identify common solutions to overcome the problems.
